Here I would like to emphasize one vitally important thing, which is a must to remember when booking a trip, but ignored by a great number of travelers. Don't forget to buy Travel & Medical Insurance when booking a trip.

The high travel season is at the corner now. People from all walks of life around the world are currently busy searching for the best offers of air and land travel, accommodations, vacation packages to suit their dreams, needs and budgets. Some of them have even started to make their reservations.

Here I would like to emphasize one vitally important thing, which is a must to remember when booking a trip, but ignored by a great number of travelers.

Much has been written on the importance of having insurance coverage while you are on a trip, away from home. This is an issue that remains somewhat ignored by many travelers. After all, they have been traveling frequently for many years, and nothing happened so far to worry about. So, to buy a travel insurance should not a be a must. It is only an optional precaution!

But, reality urges us to believe traveling anywhere in the world without protection today, is a vital mistake. Regardless of where you are traveling in the world, you must have an insurance coverage to survive any unexpected attacks and disasters, especially after the 9/11 attacks in the U.S.A.

Let’s say, you have been planning the trip of your dreams for a long time; you have finally found the opportunity to make your long time dreams of a special trip come true.

You are so excited! You have thought of all the details. You have been actively preparing for this travel; thinking, programming, shopping . . . spending a lot of time, money, and energy! You are proud of yourself that you have finally managed to materialize your dream!

Your trip can really be an unforgettable experience from start to the end, on one condition.

When booking your trip, you should have remembered that, like most exciting events in our lives, travel has some important risks, too. For example, potential medical and/or financial risks associated with travel, can suddenly turn all the excitement and pleasures of the trip to a nightmare.

Your baggage and/or your hand bag with your money, passport, credit cards in, can be stolen leaving you desperate & frustrated in a foreign country.

No one can guarantee that a natural disaster would not happen at the place you would be staying during your trip.

An unexpected accident, injury or illness would suddenly ruin everything. In fact, in the recent years medical costs have increased dramatically, worldwide. How would you be able to pay the emergency medical expenses, expensive hospital bills if you needed an urgent treatment, or surgery and care during your travel when you have lost your money, credit cards, and passport? Isn’t it a real nightmare?

In such a frustration, the only thing you would have needed to survive was a reliable medical and travel insurance policy, wasn’t it?.

Especially in the light of the horrible threats on and after September 11 terrorist attacks, the war on terror, other ruthless terror attacks in Istanbul, Spain, Egypt and London, frequent flight disruptions and cancellations, airlines’ bankruptcies, and more. In addition, travel suppliers such as tour operators and airlines worldwide have made cancellation policies more restrictive.

Therefore, if you have to cancel a trip, it’s likely that a big portion of your pre-paid travel expenses will not be refunded by travel suppliers.

Recent SARS and bird flu threats have also been urging travelers and vacationers to seriously consider to buy a travel and medical insurance.

Travel Insurance types and prices defer from one travel insurance provider to another.

You have to review, compare and select the best offers to suit your personal needs.

For instance, some insurance providers do not offer coverage outside the U.S.A. Some companies do not provide emergency medical coverage and care, while others do.

Some airlines do not accept to be held responsible for the acts of God, weather problems, natural disasters, riots and unrests, SARS, bird flu, and similar outbreaks.

The Insurance types you will need on a trip are reviewed below:

Last Minute Cancellation Insurance

With the last minute cancellation and/or interruption insurance you will get coverage on non-refundable deposits you had made when you bought your travel insurance. Read the fine print on the policy carefully when buying this insurance. You should discuss your personal needs with your insurance agent before buying it.

Medical Insurance

This is one of the most important insurance policies you should have. Buying health and medical insurance must be considered as an important part of your travel budget. You can face a health problem or an accident anywhere and anytime during your trip. Be sure your medical and health insurance policy covers illness, accidents, surgeries, hospitalization bills in the countries you will be visiting, emergency medical transportation to your home country. Please remember to have your policies with you when traveling, leaving the copies of your insurance policies with a relative in your home country, in case the policies you have with you are lost.

Comprehensive Insurance Policy

This policy generally covers emergency medical transportation and trip cancellation and interruption, plus other needs you would expect. This insurance costs 5 to 7 percent of the total cost of the trip. You should have it for your safety.

What types of insurance policies do we need for a full protection?

The Essential Insurance Types offered by most providers are Travel, Last Minute, Medical, Health, Life, Hotel, Cruise, Air, Vacations, Luxury, car insurance, sports, and Spa Insurance policies.

Some travel insurance companies also offer affordable coverage for a wide range of winter sports including Ski, Off-Piste and Snowboarding.

We might need not one, but several types of insurance policies according to the general conditions at the destinations we’re going to.

If your your kids are going with you, many travel insurance providers let them go free with adults.

Some companies provide policies for students, backpackers, cheap travel, holiday insurance, long stay, international, family travel, single travel, annual travel, annual multi-trips, and more. It’s good to know that in this cyber age, you can buy the insurance policies you need online, without even leaving your home.

Most Travel Insurance policies cover Luggage Loss, too.

But you should definitely ask about what’s covered and what’s not when choosing Travel Insurance Policy to buy. Do ask questions, all questions you might have in mind, until you get all the information you need. It’s much better to ask questions when buying insurance than to be sorry later.

How can I find the best insurance type to suit my personal or family needs?

When choosing a travel insurance policy to buy, you should get information on the offers of various insurance providers to compare.

Knowing how time consuming is to search, compare and choose the best travel and medical insurance types and prices to suit your needs and budget, we advice to visit the websites where you can find lists and information about various offers, then compare them, and choose the best ones to suit your needs.

You should keep in mind that buying your travel insurance through travel insurance providers, instead of travel agencies, would save you money in most cases.

In the light of terrorist attacks, unexpected natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, deadly hurricanes, floods, epidemics, accidents, illness, SARS, bird flu, claiming hundreds of thousands of lives at many places around the world, especially in the recent years, every traveler must seriously consider to buy a travel health and a medical insurance, and some other insurance policies if needed, providing a reliable full coverage against both expected and unexpected threats.

1. Costa Rica travel can be exciting, but it is important to stay safe and protect your belongings while you are abroad. Instead of carrying a purse or wallet you should use a fanny pack or money belt which fits securely around the waist. This will prevent any pickpockets from taking your money and important documents. You should also leave any valuable or precious jewelry at home, or at least locked in the hotel safe if you must bring these items with you. Never leave money or valuables in your room while you are gone.

2. Only use the red taxis when trying to find a taxi. These taxis are red and they have a license plate with red numbers, making them very easy to spot. At times there are illegal cabs on the streets and these taxis do not have the red numbers and color. When you get in the taxi look at the meter, and make sure it is set at zero. It is possible to negotiate the price of your trip before the meter is started, and if this is the case then you will know before you reach your destination what the exact price is for the fare.

3. Instead of carrying around your original passport and other important documents take a copy of them, and leave the originals locked in the safe at your hotel. This tip while enjoying Costa Rica travel can help you prevent a nightmare of delays and bureaucracy if you do have your wallet or purse stolen. The black market offers a high price for passports and other stolen identification papers, especially when they are from an American citizen.

4. Use common safety precautions. While Costa Rica does not have a lot of violent crime this activity can occur anywhere and in any country. Only use well-lit parking lots and ATM machines, and do not exchange currency out on the street where anyone can see you do so. Never carry more currency than you will need for the day. When driving keep your doors locked and windows rolled up, and never roll down your window while stopped at a traffic light even if someone is trying to get your attention or talk to you.

5. One Costa Rica travel tip is to watch out for teamwork among thieves. One common technique is for one person to bump into you while another is stealing your money and valuables. If you get a flat tire do not leave your vehicle unmonitored while you change the tire. Another common tactic is for one person to distract you and help with the tire change, while an accomplice is emptying your vehicle of everything that has any value at all.

6. When shopping and dining out make sure you know what taxes will be imposed. While you are shopping it is important to note that there is a thirteen percent sales tax on purchases, and this can be calculated into the price you pay or added to this amount. Before you make a purchase determine whether the sales tax is included, and do not be afraid to negotiate. In restaurants and bars there is an added ten percent tax on top of your total price. Tipping is optional but appreciated.

7. Make sure that you pack properly for Costa Rica travel. Light clothing and natural fabrics are a must, but you will also need a light jacket or sweater for when it is rainy or when the nights turn cool. If you will be exploring the forested areas then boots, jeans, and a long- sleeved shirt should be included in your packing list.

Planning a photography trip overseas? Travelling abroad to take photographs can lead to problems and mistakes. Here are some travel tips to help with the preparation.

Do plenty of research. Masses can be found on the internet and then there are good maps and books in the shops. Travel magazines can also be useful.

Read about the country, the area and cities you are visiting.

Find a decent guide book which suits your style and approach and take it with you.

If you are in a major city, visit the country’s tourist board and see what travel tips they have to offer.

Decide how you want to approach the area. Going to a completely new place, there can be so much of interest it’s easy to snap away at everything. On my first visit to India, I decided to concentrate on transport and people at work – that gave me plenty for one trip.

Follow subjects you are interested in. Photographing subjects that matter to you can lead to more interesting images. Hobbies such as architecture, trains, embroidery, flowers, birds can all be found in foreign places.

Going for subjects you like rather than the obvious tourist stuff can be more successful and they might still sell well.

Check out the health risk of a country and region. Foreign Office web sites will have details about security levels in a country and what injections and pills are required or recommended.

Successful travel photography is really a solo business. It’s virtually impossible if the partner or family is with you. They won’t want to hang around while you wait for 4 hours to the light to change or go back to the same location several times until that surroundings are right.

The trip needs to be either for a holiday or for work.

Good planning of places to go means you can start as soon as you get there and you are less likely to be overwhelmed by the new surroundings.

Make a checklist of places which are a definite must.

Learn some foreign phrases. The locals will love you for it and be more co-operative. It’s also less lonely.

To be a serious travel photographer in certain areas, you must know at least some of the language. If you want to get involved with the distant tribes living an isolated existence in the mountains of Siberia and you don’t speak Russian, then forget it – stick to the more usual places.

Travelling around in a car or camper van might have its conveniences but you will be cut off from the people and their way of life. Using public transport and staying in guest houses will bring you in touch with local people and other travellers. Meeting people this way is more interesting, will provide good tips and information and will generate better images.

Trim your camera equipment to essentials. Carrying several cameras and a mass of lenses is too much hard work and attracts a lot of attention. In theory, one camera and 2 or 3 lenses should be enough, but to avoid too much risk a second camera body will usually be the choice for most people. For anyone still using film, cameras can be loaded with different film speeds.

Try to have all your equipment as hand luggage; it’s less likely to get stolen or damaged in transit.

Electronic cameras can still be unreliable in very extreme conditions and for anyone spending 2 months in the Canadian ice-lands, digital cameras which need recharging every few days, can be a problem. An old-fashioned mechanical film camera can be a life-saver.

Other essentials can be a mini tripod or monopod, spare batteries, polarizing filters, plenty of memory cards and a compass. With computers, it’s no longer worth taking any filters other than a polarizer.

Some travellers like to take a mini hard drive to back up all their images.

For those who still prefer film for harsh difficult conditions, take much more than you are likely to need. That’s an individual choice and can depend on how one is travelling and how much weight can be coped with; for example, those on animal safari will require long lenses.

Check all equipment thoroughly and clean digital sensors before you go. This might be impossible once you are on location.

Take small plastic bags which can be sealed to put gear into to protect from dust and water. Have small bags of silica gel in the plastics bags to absorb moisture.

Have a list of all the equipment with descriptions and serial numbers with your name and address and take it with you. If the equipment was recently purchased, taking copies of receipts should convince customs that import duty is not due.

Non-photographic needs can include medical plasters, multi-tool pocket knife, universal sink stopper, sewing kit, string for a clothesline, LED headlight torch (flashlight).

Some locations might require special permission for access – a good guide book should point this out. Permissions can often be obtained in advance from embassies or consulates.

In some countries it can be illegal to photograph places like bridges, airports, large satellite dishes, certain buildings and flags. It can be worth checking this with the embassy or tourist office beforehand.

Make a list of everything you need for a trip, clothes as well as gear, and keep it for future trips, adding new items as they are needed. This will save time on later occasions.

State – Kerala

Location – Tropical region situated in the southernmost tip of India

Best Time To Visit Kerala – between November and March and during August and September

How to Reach Kerala

By Air – Calicut Airport, Kochi (Ernakulum) International Airport and Kerala-Trivandrum International Airport

By Train – Direct trains to from Mumbai, Delhi, Madras, Calcutta, Bangalore and also other major cities in the country.

By Road – Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are connected directly by road while other cities through National Highways

Travel Tips For Kerala

The state of Kerala is situated in the southernmost peninsula of India. Among the many states in the country, it is one of the most favored tourists’ destinations for individuals not just in India but also across the globe. With the enchanting backwaters, many wildlife sanctuaries and national parks, waterfalls, shopping markets, hills, mountains and beaches, the state has lots to offer the roving eye. When travelling in Kerala, vacationers may want to keep certain things in mind.

Considering Kerala is a tropical region, the climate is pleasant for most parts of the year. When visiting after September it is best to be prepared for some odd showers and advisable to carry along emergency rainwear. The coastal area is hot and humid and tourists are advised to wear comfortable clothes, preferably in cotton. Sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen lotion could also be carried along to beat the heat.

The state has a wide array of temples, but it is important for travelers to remember that not all allow non-Hindus to enter. Also when visiting the temples, it is best to be appropriately dressed while leaving footwear outside. Besides being a highly literate region, Kerala is also among the cleanest states in the country. Travelers are advised to follow the maintained standards of hygiene and refrain from dirtying the place. Also avoid bribing officials, as the state emerged as one of the least corrupted ones in a 2005 survey and could actually land you in trouble.

The backwaters spanning the state are known to be an important mode of inland navigation and besides offering a very enjoyable journey, they are also very convenient. Though the state is home to a number of beautiful beaches, those holidaying here must remember that nudity is not welcome. Like many other places in the country, smoking in public places is banned here too. For those not familiar with the national language Malayalam, a translation guide will be of great help. Though basic knowledge of English should also help travelers get around generally.

You don’t have to travel to India in luxury. In fact, many times the best way to see India is by attending free events, staying at hostels and eating at inexpensive restaurants the locals recommend. When traveling through India, there are endless cheap and free options when planning your itinerary. Here, we’ve laid out our top travel tips and cheap ideas for backpackers traveling throughout India.

While there are many budget hotels in India, hostels may still be the cheapest route. Hostels are safe, clean and although you usually have to share a bedroom with up to six others, they are like minded travelers like yourself. In exchange, you stay in a comfortable bed for a very cheap rate at roughly Rs 100 (2 USD). Some hostels can even work out an arrangement with you, for example, a free week’s stay in exchange for housekeeping or dish washing help. Whether you’re staying in Bombay, Goa or New Delhi, there are a number of cheap accommodations for you that are available year round.

Eating cheaply in India is easy to do. India has plenty of affordable alternatives to the high end restaurants such street food snacks. Eating cheap in India has become a trend on the rise, when backpackers living on a budget for extended stays in and around Asia became popular. If you come to India during the off peak travel season, you will find hotel and restaurants prices to be lower. A dollar can be stretched quite a ways in India, if you’re ok with eating rice and dhal quite often. South India is known for its thali – aka – all you can eat meal – for as little as Rs 25-30 (50 cents USD). North India’s meals tend to be a bit more expensive, but by sticking to vegetarian meals you can save a bit of money as opposed to meat dishes which will always run a little higher.

India is a great country to explore, especially when it comes to seeing historical sites and cultural districts. There is an unlimited assortment of fascinating things to do, and whether you’re a solo backpacker or traveling with your family, India is full of free activities to keep your budget in check. First, take advantage of the many annual festivals throughout the year. Watch in amazement at the men forming themselves into a human pyramid on Krishna Janmashtami or see 50,000 camels come together at the town of Pushcar for the annual camel fair. Temples are a big part of Indian culture and also bring about plenty of cheap entertainment and discussion for travelers. There are many to see, including the Haji Ali mosque in Mumbai or the Galta Monkey Temple in Jaipur. If you need a day to relax from the sightseeing and people watching, spend the day at one of India’s many beaches. It’s free, it’s relaxing and it’s beautiful. What’s better than that?

You have dreamed about it. You have planned it and now your vacation is getting closer and closer. You can taste the ocean air or feel the bright reflection off the perfect powder on the best snow day of the year. You can see the rain forest that you’ve only seen in pictures or feel the gentle sway of the ship. Or even better, there’s a hot home cooked meal waiting for you. Whatever awaits you in your vacation paradise here are 10 easy to follow travel tips to assist you in your before and during exploits.

Before you pack and hear the call “All Aboard” follow these tips and make the journey and arrival easier, healthier and fit.

1. Start your trip fit- No matter where you are going most of the time you are bound to be walking more and taking on different adventures than your day to day life. With that in mind get fit before your trip so that your adventures are easier to complete and you aren’t the one holding everyone else back. There’s nothing worse than getting to your dream destination and you can’t go the last bit because you’ve totally lost all energy. Or there are no elevators and you just can’t do one more stair. Or one problem you may have is the family wants one excursion and it is the one you know you can not complete.

Six months or more prior to departure start a workout journey to make your play journey a breeze. Walk every day and keep increasing your mileage. Join a gym or create weights at home. Fill gallon jugs with water and lift it and curl it.. One gallon of water is equivalent to 10 pounds. Pack your suitcase with the equivalent of what it may weigh on your trip and practice moving with it, carrying it, lifting it up to table height and back down and lifting it overhead (airplane overhead bins). Move and bend and squat and be the fittest going into your vacation so that the vacation is a simple joy.

2. Travel with Snacks- While some airports are getting better food and snack options, most are still lacking in this area. So instead of making bad snack choices take your own healthy travel snacks to avoid the airport/airplane fast foods. Not only will you be eating healthier you’ll also be saving money since most airport convenience foods are pricey. Nuts and snack bars slip easily in bags and cause no issues with airport security.

3. Book it wisely- When traveling and staying in a hotel you have many options. Look for a hotel with a gym or kitchenette. Hotel gyms range any where from a few pieces of cardio equipment to a full on gym with cardio, machine weights and free weights. So ask or look over the amenities prior to booking that room. A few extra dollars for a hotel with a full gym will be worth every penny.

Also look for a room with a kitchenette or access to a kitchen. You may think, “I don’t want to cook on vacation” but I personally can only eat out so often before I want to cook what I’m eating and know what’s going into my food. Most of the time a room with a kitchenette will cost a little more but when you compare that to the expense of eating out,one meal in will cover that cost. Plus, how hard is it to prepare breakfast in your kitchen versus a brunch costing $15 plus per person. The kitchens are usually stocked with the essentials and consider it a bonus when it has a dishwasher. Washing dishes is not on my vacation plan.

Vacations are meant to be rejuvenating and uplifting. Once your on the journey here are some tips to keep you on track.

4. Most believe vacationing equals freedom from exercise and freedom to eat and drink everything and anything. Traveling/vacationing is not an excuse to ignore what you know you’ll only regret later. Different experts out there state to keep up with any where from one third to one half of your regular workout regimen. But I ask why reduce? Why not complete your regular fitness regimen? You are being too easy on yourself and opening up the possibility of getting out of your routine so that when you return to regular life it’s hard to get back on track. By keeping up with your fitness on vacation you’ll be right on track when you return home.

5. Walk it, ride on it, climb it and move it. Don’t ride in it. Instead of the taxi, walk to your destination or rent a bike and bike around your vacation get away. Instead of taking the elevator, take the stairs. Move your body the “old fashioned” way and your body, the human machine, will ride smoother and longer. By walking, riding the bike and climbing the stairs you will be strengthening your entire body.

6. Avoid appetizers, breads and chips before the meal arrives. Yes, I said it. No more bread or chips while you wait for your entre. No more appetizers before the entre. Each are a carboholics dream and each provide a poor substitute for a good fuel for the body. If you want a single piece of bread or let’s say 10 chips, have it with your entre. All you have to do is ask the wait staff to take the bread or chips away or simply not to bring it at all. Otherwise you will fill up on the pre meal food and not consume the fuel (protein, good carbs and good fats) your body will be provided from the good entre selection you choose.

7. I can’t believe I ate/drank the whole thing. Just like during the holidays, many binge eat and drink on vacations. Refrain from the temptation of the 32 ounce anything or the 6 lb lobster or the “largest drink on the island”. Just because they have it doesn’t mean you have to consume it. Portion control is just as important on vacation as it is at home. Fuel your body with calories from food and not all the calories in mixed drinks. Basically, if it has an umbrella in it, stay away.

8. Plan your splurge. Okay there’s only so much good one can accomplish before one will go crazy if one doesn’t splurge. Plan your splurge. You plan big purchases like a car, a home and other big ticket items. So do the same for your splurge meal. Splurge on quality food not fast food. Not cheap beer or wine. Make it worth every yummy calorie and then sit back and smile because you know it was worth it. No guilt. No regret. Just pure joy because you earned it. Food is meant to be enjoyed but if it’s bad food then it’s hard to enjoy it. Eat just enough so you don’t feel bloated or have to undo the top button of your pants. Oh, and no elastic waist bands.

9. Fast food is not the best food. Really, does this need to be explained? Fast food is the lowest on the “food chain” of food options out there. It may fill the empty pit of your stomach but it doesn’t fuel your body. It works only short term and not long term. Short term to stop the hunger but what your body needs is long term fuel to move you, enable you, and create a stronger you. Yes, sometimes there are healthier options of fast food. But when you compare it to the fried food selection, the meats with 50% plus in fillers and the breads that do nothing for you, of course there are healthier options.

10. Fitness on the go. The great thing about exercise is that you can do it any where and with no equipment. You can do squats and lunges in line at an amusement park or on the beach. You can lift your child up and over your head and back down again. They think it’s a game but for you it’s work. You can walk faster from point A to point B and make it a workout. If you have access to a gym then take advantage of it and complete a full body work out each time just in case you don’t get to the gym as often as you would want. If you don’t have gym access then pack an exercise band in your luggage and the exercise band will allow you to complete a full body workout. You can also do these 3 exercises:

1. Push ups- complete 3 sets of 15 to 20 standard push ups or knee push ups. If you are beginning, place your hands on the dresser top and do push ups from the higher angle. They are not as intense but you are building strength and endurance.
2. Stand up, sit down- Use anything to sit down on (preferably not on wheels so it doesn’t roll away). Place your heels directly under your knees. Hands in front of you or beginners on the tops of your legs. Stand up then sit down. Stand and sit without swooping up or down and no dropping fast. Complete 3 sets of 15 to 20. Once you progress past stand up, sit down complete the same sets as full squats (no chair required).
3. Lunges- You’ll want to be careful here if your knees “talk” to you. Step forward with one foot and lower your back knee towards the floor. Your front knee should never go past your front toe. In fact, it’s best right over the heel. Lower the back knee to almost touching the floor and back up, stepping back beside your other stationary foot. Repeat on one side or alternate. Again 3 sets of 15 to 20 on each leg.

These 3 exercises incorporate a multitude of muscles and will keep you on track for when you return to your normal work out schedule.

To recap, plan ahead so you can have a great time on vacation while eating wiser and staying fit. Find accommodations with a gym or kitchenette. Staying on track with your fitness and food during vacation will make returning home a breeze. You won’t feel the need to go on a strict diet just to lose the 5 or 10 pounds you gained while on the trip. In fact, you may find that you lost weight on vacation. Indulge but don’t abandon your healthy life habits. Have fun and relax while taking in the sites and the events around you and know that you can and should taste most but just don’t eat it all. Wherever you go, whatever you do bring home the memories and the good times you had. Once you get home get back in gear and start planning the next get away.

When you ask most people to name places they are dying to visit they can usually rattle off at least 10 cities or countries. But, ask them “when” they plan to visit and you often get silence. What are you waiting for? Make a change in 2011 and resolve to visit 5 new places.

We’ve compiled a list of our 5 top travel tips to help you see new places and experience new things in 2011.

1) Choose a nearby town or city to visit: you don’t need to travel far to see new places! Start your year off right by visiting a nearby city or town that you’ve never seen before. Consult friends and family for tips on places to eat, museums to visit and other sites to see.

2) Dream big! Pick one city you’d like to visit in the next five years: big trips take a lot of planning! Want to visit Egypt at some point in the near future? Start researching your trip options and destinations now. Once you can ballpark the cost of such a trip, start stashing away money now. It may sound silly to start saving now, but if you save just $100 per month, you’ll have $6,000 saved by the time year five comes to a close!

3) Let your spouse choose a destination: often our significant others have different travel interests than us and get us thinking outside of our comfort zone. Let your spouse choose a destination for a long weekend trip or special vacation. Then, work together to choose an itinerary that mixes both interests.

4) Meet the girls (or guys!) for a long weekend: take a trip to a spa, visit baseball stadiums in multiple stadiums or meet the gang in another fun spot. Trips with friends offer a nice break from the rigors of everyday life and so many different personalities can make for fun trips with unexpected activities!

5) Keep a travel journal: whether you keep notes in a regular notebook or start a blog to chronicle your travels, recording your experiences is a great way to reflect on (and remember!) what you’ve done. Reading your journal can also inspire motivation for future trips, too!

Travelling can be fun, especially if it is a worry-free trip. Thus, to ensure that your problems are minimal when you visit a foreign land, here are some important travelling tips you ought to know.

First, you should enroll yourself in a smart traveler enrollment program or anything like that (depending on where you are from), so that your State Department will be able to help you during time of emergencies. When you enroll yourself in such programs, you will be required to share with them your travel plans, and contact of relevant people to you in case of emergency. Such information will not be disclosed to anyone else unless you authorize of it. In the meantime, you should prepare copies of your travel itinerary, passport data page and visas to be kept with your family members or friends, so that they might be able to contact you if there is an emergency.

Apart from that, you should check out your medical insurance and travel insurance international. Make sure you read through their policies so that you will know what kind of situations you can turn to them for help. Check to see if your medical insurance company covers overseas bills as well. If they do not, check to see if your travel insurance international does cover the medical expenses for the places you intend to visit in case of mishaps. Having travel insurance international will be useful as they might be able to help you in case of loss of documentation or mishaps.

Apart from that, make sure to put an effort in familiarizing the local conditions and laws of the country you are planning to visit. There might be things that you are accustomed to in your own country which are unacceptable in the other country, so you will not want to get yourself into hot soup in a foreign land if possible where help is not a stone throw away. Familiarizing yourself also helps you decide on your safety, luggage and plans.

Last but not least, do not forget to find out the contact number of your country’s embassy at the country you will be travelling at. Although you do not want to get into trouble, it is always useful to carry its contact in case of emergency.

When travelling, expect to experience a couple of inconveniences and hassles. You should be prepared for anything untoward that might happen.

Traveling is not entirely rest and relaxation. You might also experience some hair-pulling situations that will leave you feeling frustrated and disappointed. But you can minimize or even completely eliminate common travel hassles and inconveniences if you know what to do.

Here are some of the travel tips you would want to know:

Tip 1: Choose the right luggage bag. Make sure it is made from sturdy materials so you will not lose garments along the way because of holes or gaping seams. Moreover, you should choose the right size. When checking luggage, it should have the right size and weight. Also choose a good carry-on luggage. It should have pockets and compartments for your hand-carry items such as toiletries, wallet, passport and some gadgets.

Tip 2: Be sensible about the things you are bringing with you. Make a list of the items you need. Browse over the list a few times so you can edit it out. Plan your outfits and bring sensible shoes. One pair of shoes is enough if you are going on a three-day trip abroad.

Tip 3: When packing liquid belongings, make sure you seal them properly. Place them in clear plastic bag and seal them tightly with masking tape or duct tape to avoid leaks.

Tip 4: Weigh your luggage after packing. This will give you a rough idea of how much your checked luggage will cost when you check it in the airport.

Tip 5: Confirm flight tickets, especially if you have a long trip ahead. You would want to call the airline company and confirm your flight at least 3 days before your scheduled flight.

Tip 6: When traveling to a non English-speaking country, you should bring books and paraphernalia that can help you translate the things you want to say in the vernacular. Also learn more about the culture of the people there. Do your research before booking a flight.

Tip 7: Call the hotel you are going to stay and ask if they give car service to pick you up at the airport. This way, you wouldn’t have to spend a lot of time finding your hotel.

Tip 8: Make an itinerary. When visiting amusement parks, make sure you know the days that they are open. Most amusement parks schedule day offs and maintenance days during Mondays.

Tip 9: Plan your trips early especially if you want to go during peak seasons. During holidays, festivals, sport fests and other special events, most hotel establishments and Airlines are fully booked.

For durable and attractive luggage sets, choose Wenger luggage. To learn more about your luggage options, visit http://www.luggageadviser.com.
